Lintel of Thutmose I:

The arrangements of signs are in multiple directions with 1, 4, 5, and 8 facing left while 2, 3, 6, and 7 are facing right and we know this by reading into the glyphs as if you are speaking with the figures and animals etc. The large figures interrupt the flow of inscriptions are are a bit tricky. Here are provided the Transliteration (TRL), Egyptology Speak (ES), and Translation (TRS) for each column:

 

Row 1:

ES: ‘behdety netcher aa di-ef ankh’

TRS: “He of Behudet, great divinity, gives life”

Column 2-4:

TRL: /nswt bity aA xpr kA ra di anx mry nxbt di anx snb wAs mry wADt nbt py di anx snb wAs/

ES: ‘nesewt bity aa kheper ka ra di ankh mery nekhebet di ankh seneb was mery wadjet nebet py di ankh seneb was’

TRS: “King of Upper & Lower Kemet, Aa-Kheper-Ka-Ra given life, beloved of Nekhebet given life health and dominion, beloeved of Wadjet mistress of Pe, given life health and dominion”

Column 5:

TRL: /stx nbty di.f anx Dd wAs nb snb nb mi ra/

ES: ‘setekh nebty di-ef ankh djed was neb seneb neb mi ra’

TRS: “Set, he of Nubt, gives life, all stability, dominion, and all health like Ra”/p>

Column 6:

TRL: /stx nbty di.f anx Dd wAs nb Awt-ib nb mi ra/

ES: ‘setekh nebty di-ef ankh djed was neb awet-ib neb mi ra’

TRS: “Set, he of Nubt, gives life, all stability, dominion, and all joy like Ra”/p>

Column 7 & 8 (Identical):

TRL: /Hr kA nxt mry mAat/

ES: ‘her ka nekhet mery maat’

TRS: “Heru, strong bull, beloved of Maat”/p>

note:

The center throne name of the king is flanked by the word /mry/ «beloved» on both sides to show that the king is beloved of both Nekhebet on the left and Wadjet on the right.
